Tom's Verdict
Squars: Incremental Defense takes the familiar tower defence formula and blends it with incremental progression in a way that feels surprisingly satisfying. Rather than simply surviving wave after wave, you're constantly unlocking upgrades, expanding your production and improving your defences as the challenge steadily increases.
What stood out to me most was how well the game balances active decision-making with the rewarding sense of long-term progression. There is always another upgrade to chase, another improvement to make and another milestone to reach, which makes it very easy to lose track of time while playing.
If you enjoy games that combine tower defence strategy with incremental mechanics and a steady feeling of progression, Squars: Incremental Defense is definitely worth checking out. It manages to capture the addictive nature of both genres while remaining easy to pick up and enjoy.

Why I Liked This Game
- The combination of tower defence and incremental mechanics works surprisingly well.
- Once established, there is a constant stream of upgrades and unlocks that keeps progression feeling rewarding.
- Simple core mechanics make it easy to learn while still offering meaningful strategic decisions, once you've figured them out.
What I Didn't Like In This Game
- The opening stages can feel a little slow and don't last very long until production and upgrades begin to build momentum.
- Some mechanics could benefit from clearer explanations during the early stages of the game.
